He said back then Lara is not approved by HBO. Maybe, just maybe this has to do with the Haymon/HBO feud that's currently going on. But hey let's ignore that and pretend everything is fine.
Why doesn't he say the same thing now? Why is he saying that Lara can get it when a year or so earlier he basically went on a Twatter tirade against Lara?

    "Playing politician doe!"

They know that they have to con the fans some more. Lara was in a big fight on PPV with Canelo so now he's name is more known. So they pretend that they're gonna try and make the Lara fight knowing full well they're going to HBO with another list of goat farmers.

So you assume he doesn't know there is a problem between Haymon & HBO, he's completely oblivious to this fact? You don't think he's talked to HBO about Haymon fighters? Of course he has, but being that you're mentally insane and repeat the same damn thing over and over and over, you keep going like a broken record.
Saddest thing is, not even the most relentless lara boosters/ggg trolls give lara a chance of winning.

You don't get tired of this? You've been asking the same question for 24 hours. Tweet Tom Leoffler and find out why he doesn't bluntly tell the media Haymon/HBO aren't working together.

He says he's open to the fight. If the fight can happen they would make it. Nothing wrong with that. They obviously aren't scared of 154 pound Lara.

It's a huge conspiracy, man. They pretend they could make the Lara fight if it's approved by HBO/Haymon to boost Golovkin's popularity, because as we all know just mentioning superstar Lara's name makes headlines across the globe!

Right, they just complain to complain at this point. GGG tries to make fights with Cotto/Froch/Canelo/etc but they go crazy over Lara, literally a fight that cannot happen (knowing perfectly well they can't fight Lara is the reason they go so hard, they know it will never happen so it's "safe" for them).

But he was saying that Lara "wasn't on their radar" and "should fight Khan or Maidana" a year or so earlier

Why is he suddenly saying he's open to the fight?

Lara is a bigger name than the three stooges they went to HBO with after the Murray fight. Same thing will happen again.

That's not it at all. GGG likes to complain about none of the big names giving him the fight he wants, yet does the same thing to guys that want to fight him. People are calling him out on his hypocrisy in this regard.

Regarding Lara, if HBO blocks the fight or lowballs Lara ( they said they would work with Haymon fighters if "the price is right") so the fight doesn't get made, it gives us insight on whether GGG is the real thing or he is just being marketed that way and then protected by HBO.

Why is it not fair to discuss this possibility?

I don't recall GGG ever "complaining." It's getting really annoying when people can't separate Golovkin from his team.

Ok, his manager does most of the complaining. But he is speaking for his fighter. GGG has surely complained.

That point conceded, the main point of the post still stands.

Suddenly? Weren't those tweets from 1+ years ago? Why would he have been on their radar coming off a loss to Canelo?

And who are these guys Golovkin is doing the same thing to? Team Lara has never once contacted them about a fight. Golovkin has never rejected a fight.

Why would you jump to the conclusion he's being protected by HBO if HBO rejects Lara? If Lara got paid over a million dollars to fight Devlin Rodriguez, it seems likely he would overprice himself for a Golovkin fight, isn't that a possibility too? Regardless, it hasn't even got that far being that Team Lara have never discussed a fight with Golovkin and Haymon doesn't have PBC fighters fight on HBO. If/when that changes and HBO/PBC have a working relationship, then great, it would open up doors to a bunch of fights we aren't getting in boxing right now.

Golovkin has been trying to fight boxers much better than Lara and HBO has been behind those fights. There is no conspiracy here to avoid Lara; he's simply with Al Haymon.

It doesn't even matter if it isn't GGG who is the one doing the complaining directly, it's Team GGG under an umbrella. When you cry about people ducking you and then you have people calling you out, educated people would point out that hypocrisy straight away. You cannot accuse people of ducking you and then turn around and claim "Oh we can't work with so so and so because of HBO" or "He doesn't have a big name yet" or "PPV doe" or whatever excuses come out, you are suppose to be this fighter who would fight anyone from 154 to 168 but now it's TBE at 154 and just 160 lol.
