Lara is a no one. Stop trying to use him as if he's some boogieman, he's irrelevant to everyone other than to a handful of GGG haters.
Then find someone who is relevant and wants to fight GGG now.

You can add this idiot ALT to the list as well, Sweet_Science2, who has just been awarded a spot on my ignore list. Life is so much less stressful not having to see these idiots' posts and be tempted to respond to them.

A 58 year old man gets stressed by posts on an internet forum?

Christ man, I didn't realise I was on the verge of giving you a heart attack.

But if Ward is expecting a high payday and to be the A side, he will need another year or two to build up his brand to the point where he deserves it. By that time, GGG will no longer have any use for a Ward fight.

There is no possibility of a purse bid in the Lara situation because Golovkin is contracted exclusively to HBO. That means he cannot fight on another network, any other network. And HBO will not give permission for one of their biggest stars to be used by Al Haymon to promote his PBC operation and Haymon will not allow Lara to fight on HBO and receive triple the ratings he got on Spike causing a huge embarrassment for PBC. That fight is not happening and only a complete idiot would still be asking for it. Not to mention that it is a totally pointless fight for GGG and a no win situation. Even if he KTFO Lara in the first round, people will say he beat up on a smaller guy.
Dude you like like GGG is Floyd or Manny. Hell, he ain't even Cotto or Canelo. GGG is a complete f.uck'n nobody to the average casual fan, just like Ward. Ward-GGG isn't about A-side and B-side. Its about the best fighting the best. And with the current landscape of boxing. The winner likely would be crowned the new P4P King. There should be enough demand for that fight in the hardcore community for both those guys to earn career high paydays. So the notion that one needs to bend over for the other in order to make it happen is bull****.

I shouldn't have to explain that the Pac-May fight was a joint Showtime/HBO PPV. We know Golovkin vs Lara wouldn't be a PPV, let alone any kind of joint venture. This would have to solely be on regular HBO, meaning HBO would be paying for the fight themselves and Lara would only be affiliated with HBO as far as this fight goes. We have known for a while Haymon hasn't been willing to put any of his fighters on HBO for opportunities like this. Hell, he had Peter Quillin drop his title and pass on $1.4 million to fight a relatively easy mandatory defense against Korobov, just because Haymon didn't want Quillin fighting on a different network and promoted by someone else that Al isn't affiliated with. So it's a pretty big stretch to think he'd be willing to have Lara fight on the very network he's competing against promoted solely by K2 promotions. Of course there's also the matter of if HBO is willing to work with Haymon. In recent times, HBO has stated they are open to working with Haymon fighters, but only if the fight makes sense and the money is right (i.e they aren't going to break the bank for a Haymon fighter to appear on their network). I think they would be willing to work with Haymon for a fight like Kovalev vs Stevenson, but for Lara I'm not so sure.

So we have two major issues here:

-Haymon's reluctance to work with HBO.
-HBO's stance on Haymon's fighters (they will work with him only for the "right" fights).

Seems very unlikely, but again if it's possible, they should go for it. I think it's clear Golovkin and his trainer know Lara wouldn't pose a threat to him, but Loeffler is aware of the HBO/Haymon riff, but because Leoffler has a working relationship with Haymon he's not outright saying what the problem is to the media.

                Lara

Lara is a JMW. He has been beaten twice and Angulo knocked him down. He never wins decisively. Quit trying to grow him into some threat at MW. Let him fight a top 10 MW and then come after the number 1 and them GGG. This catch weight stuff as well as trying to jam size 12 feet into a size 9 shoe is ******. Let's honor the sport people.

That's the entire problem... Name one relevant 160'er who's willing to step in with GGG. Lemieux was making noise about a GGG fight a month ago, now gets a belt and he needs to fight a mandatory even though there isn't even a mandatory in place.

GGG is calling out everyone and Lara is calling him out. What a country!!!!!!

                    I love it!!!!!!
Lara is a clown. Let him fight his way to a title shot like everyone else. Fight a top 10 MW, the number 1 MW and then the champ. He has done NOTHING to be considered worthy of a title shot. His fans are nut jobs and know nothing about boxing or the way title shots are supposed to work.
