Comments Thread For: BScene Ratings Update: Wilder, Andrade, Porter, More

Heavyweight: Deontay Wilder won again but doesn’t move up after struggling in spots with an unrated challenger. Wilder, if he takes his mandatory, will have a big proving ground later this year with Alexander Povetkin.

Light Heavyweight: Rated Thomas Oosthuizen missed weight for his last fight but remains rated until his future course is set.

A hopefully career ending KO of Vic Darchinyan.

No other BS ratings needed. Boxing under 140lbs is dwarf fighting anyway.
Floyd-Wlad-GGG-Ward-Kovalev- Tops 5 no other discussion needed. Boxing under 140 lbs is dwarf fighting and not worth attention.

While it is true that the bigger guys will always gain the biggest followings and popularity, the smaller guys actually put on better, more entertaining fights. The action is faster, higher paced. Regardless of the fact that they tend to be less than 5'5, they just have higher motors and put on action packed fights. The smaller guys deserve more attention, but they will always be pushed aside by fans in favor of taller, heavier, and scarier fighters.

Not meant as an insult. Love Darchinyan and don't want to see him get pummeled as an old fighter.
