Things got awfully contentious in the days leading up to last week's clash between Shawn Porter and Adrien Broner, as the trash talk that was initiated by Broner got very personal and involved Porter's father and trainer, Kenny.

Broner stated that it was the elder Porter who collected his son's fight checks and paid him. He added some other derogatory remarks regarding their relationship.

After the end of the 12th round on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - where Porter did more than enough to earn a unanimous decision, Broner went over to the Porter's and tried to playfully make amends.

Who cares how goofy broner is, you gotta check people if they come at your correct. You cant change how broner is but you have a say in how he is with you and this is just kenny checking broner.

Kenny Porter is acting like a man, putting a child-like man in his place. Adrien Broner is a child and his behavior makes no sense because he isn't even that good of a fighter at the top level of pro boxing. He is still not proven. Draw with Malignaggi(IMO), lost to Maidana, now lost to Porter. He's racking up losses like crazy. Kenny Porter just saying the truth about Broner's behavior, and fans feel the same way, we're can't all be wrong. Everybody feels the same way. It would have been so much better if Broner acted that way and actually proved himself, most fans let that slide if you back it up. He has not done that.

How is Porter wrong for telling Broner to get lost? Broner is always rude and disrespectful, about time checked him. I respect Broner as a fighter but he gets no love from me after the stunt he pulled during the lead up to and after the Malignaggi fight.

Relax....

I can understand that in the sport of boxing channeling anger to motivate your performance and the focus of your team is useful....

With that in mind, the Porters feed off of Broner's antics.... Immediately after the fight you can't expect them to simply flip the switch when Adrian comes to their corner.... So give them a pass...

I'm not a fan of Broner for the same reasons most others are not...
But I understand he was betting on image and controversy being his marketing strategy, like Mayweather...

"The Problem" is that he doesn't have Floyd's skills or discipline to backup his antics.....
So now I'd be interested to see if Adrian can become his own man and mature his approach to boxing and life in general.....
He's young enough to do it....
It would be very interesting to see a Adrian Broner who's suddenly respectful to all opponents, their teams and their fan bases....
That would be news and people would follow just to see if it was real or not, a story unto itself.....

I seriously doubt he has it in him to drop the Clown and pick up tbe Gentleman..... But that would be a eye catching about face ????
