Exactly! At least then, we'd know for sure who has truly earned a fight with Floyd.

Floyd's not ******. He knows that a Spence v Porter/Thurman fight on his undercard would generate at least 100,000 extra PPV buys. It would also serve to quell the talk of fighting Thurman, who at this point seems like a logical choice for his next opponent. This whole of idea of him reliquishing a belt and then getting to determine who gets to fight for it is ridiculous though.

lol Floyd playing puppeteer. I actually like this (screw the belts, just make the fights), I mean, I don't know why Porter or Thurman wouldn't be jumping at the opportunity to face off against an untested prospect in the co main event on a Floyd Mayweather PPV. Porter or Thurman (after the Collazo soft touch) should step up and tell him to make it, or at least call his bluff. I think this could all just be a chess move by Al Haymon here....

Spence is fundamentally sound but sometimes he seems like he's in cruise control against overmatched opponents. With that being said Thurman should have an easy time with him. If it's competitive at all, it should be a set back for Thurman.
