Ryan Burton catches up with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder to discuss a variety of topics.

Wilder was ringside for the Premier Boxing Champions weekend in Las Vegas, where "Showtime" Shawn Porter (26-1-1, 16 KOs) outworked and out-landed Adrien "The Problem" Broner (30-2, 22 KOs) on his way to a unanimous decision victory on Premier Boxing Champions on NBC in front of 8,138 fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday night.Click Here To Read More]

Did I hear Wilder correctly did he say he was going to clean out the division before he fights Wlad? The only problem with that is Wlad isn't going to wait around for Wilder to do that. Wlad's best hope is if Povetkin wins the WBC belt and they can rematch. If that doesn't happen I believe Wlad retires without becoming undisputed champ.

Lol Deontay is gonna be a lot of fun to watch in the future, but before and when he got his belt it was, "I wanna unify right away. I'm going to fight Klitschko. I want to fight the best." Now it's, "I have an advantage over Klitschko....when it happens." If Klitschko gets past Fury and Wilder gets past Povetkin, you know Klitschko will be trying to make the fight happen. Then we'll see if Wilder is being protected or doesn't mind the possibility of going out on his shield.

I really believe that Deontay is one of the most skilled heavyweights we've seen in a while...he can actually box.. but he's clearly not in a rush to get in the ring with Wlad..definitely taking a Mayweather approach of wait and see Wlad decline a bit more...
