By way of exception due to the Floyd Mayweather situation, the WBO Championship Committee has sanctioned Saturday’s Timothy Bradley vs. Jessie Vargas to be for the WBO interim welterweight title. Should Mayweather not comply with terms and conditions of a June 5 WBO Resolution, the winner of Bradley-Vargas will become the full WBO welterweight world champion.
According to the resolution, Mayweather has an extension July 3 to:
1) Send a check in the amount of $200,000 for the sanction fee for the May fight against Manny Pacquiao.
