Takam is OK - he's not better than Stiverne.
I disagree. neither are all that good but I think takham is a slight level above. stiverne is so damn sluggish and lazy in there. all he has is that sneaky short right hand. c****ola made him look better than he really is. he looked horrible against austin in his previous fight to areolla and wilder after

I agree. not even sure he hits any harder than takham but he is probably a better sneakier counter puncher. takham is busier tho and a slightly better fighter imo

Takam's pretty decent actually. Very high workrate, good jab, solid chin. Hard to say who'd win a fight between him and Stiverne but given Stiverne's sluggishness I wouldn't be surprised to see Takam win by simply swarming him and never giving him a chance to respond. That's the way he beat Tony Thomps, who generally gives fighters trouble but couldn't do a thing against Takam. He also took Perez to a razor thin draw that many people felt he should have won. Wouldn't mind seeing the fight actually. I think both guys are evenly matched.

Carlos Takam would have been undisputed champion in any era prior to the 80's beyond any doubt completely unchallenged.

And this is under ANY circumstances!

I think he is better than Stiverne due to his workmanship atleast.

In fact Mike Tyson himself never actually won against anybody as good as Carlos Takam!

Wilder is vacating the belt. Zero chance of this fight happening.

I would like to see the fight as well. But I still think Stiverne would open up a wide favorite. Just based on recent fights. Pvetkin-Takam was a great fight until the KO
