I have always wondered how Golovkin was able to deliver that KO punch to Rubio so effectively with all that power.

Do you think his left hand could be his stronger hand? It is so difficult to deliver the punch from that angle with serious power but he was able to do it with ease using his supposedly weaker hand.

I don't think the power itself KO'd Rubio. It was the fact that Rubio had his guard up and probably thought he wasn't going to eat a left hook to the side and even then it was a shot to the temple which probably knocked Rubio's senses out of line.

Aside from that left hook he's still able to deliver a KO punch while BEING PUNCHED hence the Geale KO. Golovkin is known to be putting guys on their ass since the amateurs.. he's a rare breed of power where he doesn't need to punch full force also that he has great punching mechanics to help him carry weight into his punches.
