It is a fight that will possibly happen, but not the way most people anticipate it to. Fight could take place in the next 5-8 years, but by that time Golovkin will probably be a washed up fighter with a name.

WBA/WBC/WBO welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) could see rising contender Errols Spence Jr. (17-0, 14KOs) - currently at 147-pounds - eventually get up in weight to the middleweight division.
Mayweather plans to fight on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and wants Spence to return on the undercard in a title fight against Keith Thurman or Shawn Porter.
Because of his size, Mayweather sees Spence heading up to 154, and then eventually going up to the middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

In Mayweather code language: "In Time" = when Triple G is starts slipping and gets exposed...
Mayweather is already setting up opponents for Triple G but he don't have the balls to take the fight himselfComment

By the time this could happen, Golovkin would probably have retired (or should have).
Golovkin is 33 years old already...Comment

I'm starting to think the rumors of Spence wrecking all these guys (Floyd included) in sparring might have some truth to them. Hasn't he been sent home as a sparring partner like 3 times now?Comment

****ing lol Mayweather can't get enough of the triple g. He bets on ggg to knock out Willie Monroe inside of six rounds or whatever, then acts like he doesn't know who ggg is. Then he talks about ggg being a bum, and now he is trying talk out a future match with him and another fighter.
A lot to be saying about someone who is supposedly not on your level.Comment
