Porter aint a name like Ghost and Thurman, and wasnt Broner on the undercard?

The Ghost fought Floyd and Thurmans name has been buzzing similar to Broners

Broner brought in the majority of those numbers, Porter was the weak link, 2.4 are a good set of numbers given who was fighting

Isn't summer known as a dead period for sports ratings though? I remember GGG did pretty bad ratings for one of his fights last year on HBO and everyone was talking about how it was decent considering the traditionally bad ratings during summer.

Apparently these numbers are down 4% from the April 11 (Garcia-Peterson) card, and down 26% from the debut PBC on NBC card March 7 where Broner featured (THurman Guerrero headlined).

I'm not here to give explanations, all I was pointing out was the article states these numbers are not that good.

Poor for sports? Then explain why GOLF on FOX brought in over 4 million viewers against PBC?

Yup... boxing was knocked on it's ass by GOLF.

That's disappointing. This fight had plenty of promo too.

The fact that Golf was number 1 proves my point doesn't it?

The numbers were terrible. From 10 to 11, a rerun of 48 Hours on CBS pulled in just under 4 million, a RERUN!!! And the 18-49 demographic was virtually the same as the boxing. A rerun of NCIS: New Orleans brought in 3.43 million from 9-10.

Not good numbers and still on the decline from previous broadcasts which is a very bad sign.

Those are awful numbers for primetime. Put another nail in the Broner coffin.

Proves the hypocrisy of boxing fans (the "take our country back" saltines)
