Porter v Khan

This is a fight i'd like to see next. I don't think either guy deserves to fight Mayweather right now. Khan definitely doesn't and Porter still lost to Brook so i'd say on paper i'd give it to Brook. He beat one of them and one of them flat out ducked him. Porter definitely should be ahead of Khan for that fight though, no doubt.

For Khan i think this is a good fight to try to set his stall at welterweight. Porter his strong, decent power and a fully fledged welterweight, all the attributes Khan has yet to face at WW. If Khan could beat him, i think a some of the questions about him would be answered. Also, if he could beat him in a better fashion than Brook did, it might hype that big payday even more and give him more bragging rights to debate his position in the WW division.

For Porter i think this is a good fight too. Khan is a well known fighter and he will get paid pretty well. If he beat him next, he would have back to back wins over Broner and Khan. No matter what you think of Broner and Khan, they're still 2 good names to have on your record as wins. I think this would boost his name a lot, maybe hype up a Brook rematch which might generate good money. Also if he wins, he will do many of us a favour and shut Khan up. Khan talks a good fight but has so far avoided any dangerous fighter because he just wants to waltz into a pay day without paying his dues at WW.

It's time for Khan to put his money where his mouth is and take on a real welterweight who can punch a bit. I think nobody would have any complaints if this fight was signed.

I dunno, I think King Khan is too fast and athletic for Porter. Khan is always one shot on the chin from being KO'd though. But I see Khan winning the rounds with his flurries.

There are some styles Khan work well against. Porter's is not one of them.

Khan would look similar to Broner, clinching/headlocking Porter all night.
He would let his hands go more though, maybe some jabs and flurry combos.
Ultimately Porter would win, maybe by KO.

I'd pick Khan by decision. He'd survive the rocky moments, clinch the hell out of Porter, and win the rounds.

Thatll be a good fight thing is broner didnt let his hands go. Khan wont be afraid to let his hands go and can porter deal with the speed?

Khan throws better and more accurate combinations, has decent pop so Porter won't be jumping in all night and is taller with a longer reach. Porter's advantage is that he fights like a mad man and has enough power to hurt Khan so could get KOd. I'd favour Porter simply because of that last point but he is too crude to beat Khan if Khan doesn't get hurt.
