How is GGG cherry picking? He is going after the titles at 160 and last I checked Lemmiux just won the vacant IBF.... I will never understand some ppl's logic lmao. Lemmiux has a punchers chance....but it should be entertaining while it lasts. ODLH needs to let it happen now and not let it marinate. No easy routes once you are a champion.

Wouldn't be surprised if Oscar saved Lemieux for Canelo

I think Oscar may try to do that, I certainly would not be surprised if he did.

What Loeffler should do is tell Oscar that GGG will take a fight with Lemieux as partial compensation in a step aside deal for the WBC strap. Tell Oscar that GGG will allow Canelo a voluntary defense before his mandatory if he is to beat Cotto in exchange for a Lemieux fight.

                    2. If GGG does step aside, and Canelo wins, he will have to fight GGG in his next fight.

                    3. If Lemieux fights anyone of quality before fighting GGG, he may lose the title and the GGG fight never happens.

This is the more likely scenario... Cotto is stripped of his title, WBC promotes GGG to full title holder. Canelo fights Cotto for the WBC JrMW title which will be vacated by Floyd after his final fight. Lemieux fights GGG in a three title unification fight with the winner going on to fight Lee in December to unify all the titles before the end of 2015.
It's not that I have trouble understanding it but much more due to me being cynical regards what the WBC says they will do and what they actually will do.

I also do not think Floyd's next fight is his last. Do you?

Lemieux fights GGG and then the winner fights Lee and it all happens by the end of December. Ermm,, right - OK then, if you say so.
I hope you are right but I wouldn't bet a nickel on that scenario playing out.

The thing is that the title situation is completely out of the hands of the WBC. Golovkin has total control over that situation. They can say whatever they want, but Golovkin's mandatory status qualifies as a legal contract and it cannot be broken by the WBC alone. GGG MUST agree to step aside and he has let his terms be known and will not change at this point in time.

Will Floyd's next fight be his last? I have no idea, I can only hope that it is as that would be best for boxing to see him retire.

I wouldn't bet on my scenario turning out at all, but it has more chance of happening than Cotto-Canelo being for the MW title or of either of them fighting anyone other than GGG in their first defense if they do sign the agreement that allows their fight to be for the title.
