Shawn Porter beat Adrien Broner in a unanimous decision in Las Vegas on Saturday night in a key welterweight matchup.
The judges scored the fight 114-112, 115-111 and 118-108 in favour of Porter, who set the tone for the fight by going on the offensive from the first bell.
Porter relentlessly attacked to keep Broner on the back foot with flurries of jabs and unforgiving body shots. Broner tried to frustrate Porter by pushing and holding and was eventually deducted a point for persistent fouling by referee Tony Weeks in round 11.
