Kovalev is a dangerous fight for Ward. I dont think Ward can win that one, everyone else mentioned he beats probably with the exception of GGG maybe. I dont know how GGG and Ward match up size wise. If memory serves GGG is almost 6 feet tall so I would think they would be close. He probably needs another fight or two to be ready but hopefully we get to see him in with Kovalev or GGG soon.

They have the same reach, Ward is only an inch taller. There is a much bigger size difference between Ward and Kovalev and Cotto and GG then there is between GG and Ward. The GG camp has stated their fighter would go after the best at 168. Now that Ward is back they don't want anything to do with him.
