Good to see him taste another defeat. He has become boring to watch with all that clinching and holding. It's bad enough to see Porter with a style that always ends up in a clinch, but reinforcing it with a vise-like grip is just too much to take.

I agree with those saying Maidana ruined him. He was afraid to pull the trigger once Porter roughed him up. He couldn't adjust even in the later rounds when he knew he needed the KO. I wonder if he thought he would still get the decision.

Shawn Porter is strong and awkward. I get it. However, no elite Welterweight should lose to Shawn Porter. The guy is wild, lacks KO power and his defense has wide holes.

Can anyone imagine what a Prime Welterweight Tito Trinidad would do with a guy like Shawn Porter, or even AB? The gruesomeness would be too much to stomach.

Broner's best option is fight the other career gatekeeper at 140, Zab Judah. The winner gets Chris Algeri on Spike TV and the winner of that gets Errol Spence in which Spence retires them on PBC.

Maidana didn't ruin Broner. His terrible footwork and lack of ring iq was exposed by Quintero and PDL a long time ago. He has flashy hands, but only against smaller men who have to back off him.
