Next Floyd doe.
Good riddance to Adrien Broner. Trash.

For me 'the problem' with AB is simply self discipline.
That's something you can't teach somebody.
AB is not a listener and can't take advice, add to that he is clearly mildly ******ed and a very immature.
I just can't see much of a way back into the top tier of boxing, even at LW.
His physical conditioning between fights is non existent and there are plenty of hungry, dedicated fighters who will be lining up to take him on now.
Talent and hype is just not enough, you have to be dedicated.Comment

GGG beat Geale who's defeat at the hands of Cotto, now has people thinking Cotto is some termination machine under Roach. The guy stopped Martin Murray who is ranked in the top 10 of both WBC and WBA and was probably ranked top 3 when GGG fought him. Murray had never been stopped previously and I don't know if he was ever dropped either.
Curtis Stevens is still ranked in the top 10 of the WBC and WBA. He was like top 5 when GGG fought him.
Willie Monroe Jr is ranked at 8 by the WBA even after his loss, which was the first KO loss of his career.
Proksa was supposed to be a beast and GGG stopped him, first KO loss of his career, actually, he had never been dropped as an amateur or pro until that fight. He was a highly ranked MW at the time.
He also stopped Ouma who is sturdy as hell and accomplished.
None of these guys are elite HOFers but they are/were all highly ranked MW contenders and/or champions at the time when GGG fought them. These were not guys drained down or smaller dudes like what Broner had been fighting in the past few years. These are all guys that have been in the MW division and are just as big as GGG is.
Broner was beating up on guys down at 135 or whatever while he was able to easily fight in the WW division. Once Broner moved up in weight, it became obvious that without his substantial size advantage, he was marginally average in terms of impressiveness/effectiveness.
Sure GGG gets a lot of hype but lets be real, he is KOing these guys every time out and these aren't fringe contenders. The other champs don't really seem to be interested in GGG but he is the recognized dude to beat at 160.
Broner was carefully matched to get him where he is, GGG has had to fight who he can get and has fought in the opponent's backyard numerous times to make it happen.Comment

He was pretty good at the lower weights when he actually threw punches. After he moved up in weight he tries to copy Floyds style every fight and thats not his style at all.
He needs to let his hands go and stop trying to be defensive because his defense isnt that great once guys like maidana and porter start punching him. I really thought he improved but he proved he didnt. And definataly needs a new trainerComment

There was a telling moment in the fight when Broner finally tried to muster some offense and it looked like he was shadow boxing in front of Porter. Broner just doesn't not know how to initiate his offense. He lays back too much, let's his opponent dictate the fight and then clinches/holds because he's too afraid to let his hands go.Comment

I have a friend that works at the club in the MGM Grand, Hakkasan. He told me Saturday before the fight that he was there getting drunk, trashed and acting like he was Floyd literally, 3 days before the fight. The guy is a complete ****ing joke and once I saw the weigh in picks you could tell the only one having a problem making weight was him.Comment
