    Most "Undeserving" world champions?

Of course fighters won their world title fight and earned their belt but what I mean by this is when certain fighters who may have not been the best but got an "undeserved" oppertunity and won a world title. A few examples:
-Buster Douglas becoming the UNDISPUTED champion
-Zab Judah is a good fighter but has won a fair few vacant belts and has become an undisputed champion
-Chavez Jr winning the world title after they stripped Martinez

Any other circumstances you guys can remember?

It's not fair to put Buster Douglas on that list. He may not have been the best fighter, but if you beat the undisputed heavyweight champion of world, you are a totally deserving champ.

As for the most undeserving, before being stripped Lamont Peterson was pretty undeserving of the IBF title. Considering the way he won from Khan and that he got knocked out by Matthysse at 141 to avoid losing it, he was pretty undeserving.

Any WBA regular champ is also pretty undeserving of the title of champion. I mean look at Thurman; he was elevated to the status of champion in between fights. That's ridiculous.

Lamont Peterson immediately came to mind. He was on steroids and got a hometown decision against Khan. Then got knocked out by Matthysse but still held the IBF Title.

Buster Douglas fought extremely well in defeating Tyson. He looked great. He never looked that good before the Tyson fight or after it but that night he was one hell of a boxer-puncher. Judah only beat one fighter to become the unified champion. He beat Spinks who was the unified champion but not a very good champion.

                This. So much this.

Also, I don't like it when guys are just promoted into becoming champions, like Thurman. That's ******. If someone is "interim" champ or "regular" champ (God, boxing is ****** sometimes), then they should be put into a fight against the #1 or 2 contender for the vacant belt. I mean a freaking reporter asked Thurman how it felt to be world champion, and he had no clue! And now he talks about how he's champion. How ****** is that?
