Thurman is spot on here. Mayweather smirked when he said No. 49 would be his last fight. I see little to no chance that Mayweather stays retired post Sept 2015.

There is unbeaten Kell Brook with the other title who is very strong at welter who put himself on the map by beating Porter in America to win the crown and Porter is some one according to Floyd that he himself says he rates.

Floyds next fight will be like he's usual fights. Boring as hell! I won't be buying it unless it's with someone exciting like GGG.
His next PPV numbers will be very average. I have watched too many of his fights only to walk away frustrated as hell. You sit on your seat waiting for something to happen and then it's finished and you get this numb feeling like you could of done something better with your time.

So after that underwhelming performance against Pacquiao in which he hardly landed any punches of significance, I don't even think the retirement angle will help sell an Amere Con fight.

But who cares, CBS/Showtime are the ones losing money on the fight. Haymon tried to have Khan fight light-punching bums and look impressive so Showtime can sell the fight, but Algieri derailed those plans by beating Khan and getting robbed by the judges.

Mayweather vs Khan will gain no publicity at all. Nobody in sports media will even mention the fight. Actually would be better if the fight took place in the U.K., but Mayweather needs USADA, NSAC and the two guaranteed Vegas judges to give him every round he doesn't get dominated in to win.

So there you have it: Mayweather v. Khan in September in a fight that does less than 500K pay-per-views in the U.S.

Thurman's got a good point ... Where do you go after fighting a fight in the making for five years with your boxing nemesis?

You definitely don't go with a Khan-man for your last fight ... That would be idiotic. Floyd needs to check out with a ****, fulfilling his past statement of fighting in Britain against a Brit. But since he's already secured Vegas, he can at least still fight a worthy Brit in Kell Brook, the only one out there with a legit (opinions vary) belt.
