Fighting Spence would be a step backwards in Keith's career. Fighting a young and dangerous but unheralded and unknown fighter would be ****** when Keith is trying to establish himself as a top guy. Spence needs to put in work and then this fight will create some demand.


On the other hand, this is showing Keith that in boxing, the hunter becomes the hunted once you reach a certain status. He'll have the target on his back from now on, the young lions will want to make their name by beating the huge puncher at 147 who the top guys are so called ducking.

This is the problem with the current generation of fighters, their sense of entitlement and inability to recognises their goal had to jump over.

At Thurman's age Mayweather had a resume worthy of placing him in the Hall of Fame.

thurman doesnt get it..your not a fan favorite pal..u were just a tool to hate on mayweather with..now that floyd took the pac fight and dominated he owes us no more..he feels that way and imo all fans should...but you and spence have stuff to prove...there is nothing wrong with spence want you or you taking the fight proving that you are better...there is nothing wron with floyd fighting thurman either..but i'm sure this is his last fight and he probably will talk more than he trains in all access..250 million says i dont wanna even think about the boxing gym!!!

Thurman vs Spence makes no sense right now. Thurman is a contender who deserves a title shot, Spence is just an unproven prospect. This is a fight that can be so much bigger and more significant in 1-2 years. If Floyd don't want it put Thurman in with the Broner/Porter winner or Brook. Spence still need to earn his stripes.
