without a doubt, Edner Cherry vs Jose Armando Santa Cruz was awesome, Pacquiao vs Morales 2 was great, and the undercard to that Martin Castillo vs Alexander Munoz. Those are the top notch fights of the year thus far from what I've seen.

Maybe in terms of what's been broadcast on American airwaves, but in terms of what I've heard, there is serious contention from.

        Willie Gibbs-Lenord Pierre

        and

        Somsak Sithchatchawal-Mahyar Monshipour

mind you, I admittedly have seen neither, but I would like to before I put in serious voting on FOTY.

So far, Brewster v.s. Lycahovic has been fight of the year in my opinion. That was a ridiculous slugfest, and both guys absorbed heavyweight punches one after another.

Awesome ****ing fight. Unbelievable determination and grit from both men. Best fight I've seen in years, though I'm biased towards the heavyweights.
