Comments Thread For: Froch on Career: I Don't Know What I'm Going To Do

Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch, 37-years-old, is still undecided as to the future of his pro career. Froch has a lot of offers out there, from Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward, James DeGale and several other in a loaded 168-pound division.

Froch has been out of the ring since last May's knockout of George Groves before a record crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London.

He was planning to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this past March in Las Vegas, but suffered an injury and withdrew. Then Chavez was completely off the table after the Mexican fighter was upset with a knockout loss in April.

C'mon champ, "one more time". GGG vs Froch in the UK or Vegas and go out in a blaze of glory.

Eddie should propose DeGale/Golovkin in September as the main for the O2 show and then have Froch fight the winner. If Golovkin, then maybe in Vegas. If DeGale, then London.

Well, I know. Froch won't fight Ward or GGG, but he will continue to talk, talk, talk.

do you remember when i ko'd that guy with no belt at Wembley, the guy who 2 years prior wasnt as big a name as degale? Well now Degale has a belt and wants to fight at wembley but he's not a big enough name. Ward isnt a big enough fight for Wembley either, although Groves is obviously. GGG won the online vote and I keep saying his name but now I talked so much I think i'm gonna retire. Unless I ko punchbag Chavez wants to pay me 10 million to go to vegas with him for a weekend. Or maybe i can fight Malinaggi in Nottingham, which would be a massive fight and a way to close out my glorious legacy in style.

I know man. It's getting flat out ridiculous now.

Froch seriously needs to shut the hell up. All that talk about fighting GGG, and now he's just like 'nah'.

Froch has not taken a single tough fight since he became a star. Not one.

Froch is getting up there in age and this layoff won't help. He might as well retire than try to come back against a lesser name and leave with a loss

Well, he didn't have much say, did he? Groves was mandated - TWICE.

As for the Kessler fight, that was revenge. And, before you mention Mack, it's worth remembering he was off the back of Froch's brutalisation of the-then IBF title holder Lucien Bute.

Yup. He's been looking his age for a while now.
