I actually praised PBC in this very same thread, I said I like that they make their fighters fight three to four times a year and Top Rank is doing a horrible job making them only fight twice a year.

, I am just disappointed. The comments from his team are pretty categorical. I have zero hope the fight gets made now and I don't see what else at 126 gives me a fan stiffy if not Loma vs Walters.

I agree. I like Walters more than Loma but Walters screwed himself by not making weight. Why is it that other fighters get ripped apart for being so unprofessional but Nick gets a pass and people call this "ducking". Fans only have Walters to blame.

If you're a walters fan than you wouldn't say shiet like that. Walters is a very disciplined individual, yea he made a mistake he missed weight one time in his career. He paid for it by losing his belt and the $40k fine for that one pound over. Marriaga's side was fine with that, they made the decision to fight on and deal with whatever consequences and move on.

Back to walters, he's only missed weight one time in his career. Shouldn't we give him the benefit of the doubt before we start accusing him of being too big. If he says he can make 126 for Lomachenko, then give him that opportunity since its the best fight for fans anyways. Right now everyone's just assuming he's too big and he's out grown the division. I think he just didn't have enough time to train, if you look at his body in the donaire fight compared to the marriaga fight, walters was more defined and ripped. He also only weighed 138 on fight night, the same weight that lomachenko weighed in against Gamalier Rodriguez.

In my opinion lomachenko's team is ducking. Lomachenko said he wants to fight the best and it's obvious that's walters. The team knows lomachenko could win but it's a tough grueling fight that will reduce lomachenko's longevity as a boxer. Since lomachenko has fragile hands and walters is tough as nails there could be a situation where walters wins because lomachenko can't keep him off due to an injured hand. Either way the smart move for them would be to let walters name fade away so he's not in demand and hope somebody else beats him.

Of course, I am not surprised at all. Walters would beat this guy up and Loma and his team don't want any part of him. Not fighting for a title and weight are just convenient excuses. Loma punches like a featherweight. He's got no power.
