  • You know, golovkin is getting pretty close to breaking Wilfredo Gomez's record

For most ko title defenses in a row, golovkin is at 14. The record is at 17 kos held by Wilfredo Gomez, a huge legend in the sport. Kinda amazing when you think about it, and realistically, he isn't that far off from Joe Louis either for most kos for title defenses. Considering he fights 4 or 3 times a year, it might actually be possible to get to 23 knockouts for title defenses.

checked out both their resumes, and nope i didn't laugh

in fact if you looked at wilfredos, you would see fighters that are 7-11, 6-9, 19-11, 22-8, 32-12, and a lot of others like that while he was defending the title.

Yeah you're an idiot, other than Zarate Gomez's resume before the Sanchez fight wasnt exactly littered with HOFers either.

dudes an all time legend in the sport, fought many greats and knocked them about, but if golovkin fought guys like that you would be ripping him apart.

Imagine the hate GGG would get if he fought that level of opponent...

No. Actually I wouldnt. I hardly rip Golovkin apart now. I want him to step of his competition but I don't think that has anything to do with ripping him apart. I clearly acknowledge him as the best middleweight in the world.
