For most ko title defenses in a row, golovkin is at 14. The record is at 17 kos held by Wilfredo Gomez, a huge legend in the sport. Kinda amazing when you think about it, and realistically, he isn't that far off from Joe Louis either for most kos for title defenses. Considering he fights 4 or 3 times a year, it might actually be possible to get to 23 knockouts for title defenses.

in fact if you looked at wilfredos, you would see fighters that are 7-11, 6-9, 19-11, 22-8, 32-12, and a lot of others like that while he was defending the title.Last edited by Boxing1836; 06-18-2015, 06:48 PM.
