Comments Thread For: Porter Brushes Off Adrien Broner Gym Confrontation

Mayweather Boxing Club, Las Vegas, Nevada - Yesterday when Shawn Porter was wrapping up his media workout, Adrien Broner stepped in the ring to confront his fellow Ohio native.

Broner, who faces Porter on Saturday night, was jawing with him and his team, making comments like his father (and trainer) and his strength and conditioning coach can't fight for him when they meet in the ring. The fight, which is part of Al Haymon's PBC series, headlines a NBC televised main event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Let's see what happens, hopefully Porter has a good number of strategies for AB, while Porter was hitting mitts with his dad it looked like they have a few approaches to use, i was watching the Toney vs Barkley fight today, and in no way am i making comparisons, but the AB vs Porter fight came to mind, again in no way am i making comparisons but if Porter doesn't do the right things i could see AB doing a lot on him early and consistently, AB has that jab that whips like a lighting bolt and if he sticks to the jab and follows it with some combinations from time to time it could be enough to tilt the entire fight in his direction, watch out for them uppercuts AB likes to throw....i hope it's a great fight though and highly competitive

Broner is gonna lose badly...he shouldn't be underestimated because of the Brook fight. Brook was bigger and taller than Porter and had an awesome jab and straight right. Broner is smaller and is too inactive.

Broner looked much bigger than Porter in the video. It's going to be a good fight.

Broner has gone from probably the most overrated fighter in the world pre-Maidana. To one of the most underrated fighters in the world post-Maidana. People act like this kid is a straight up tomato can because he lost a fight, in a division he shouldn't have even been fighting in. When he moved up to fight Paulie, Omar Figeroua was his mandatory. And outside of Crawford, there's nodody in the lightweight division that could touch him. And because of name value, or would have probably been him getting to beat up Gamboa instead of TC.

Boner had a chance at the lower weights because he could punch. At the higher weights his punching power is really quite average. Throw in the face that he has basically zero mobility due to how wide his stance is, and a very leaky defence, and you have Adrien Broner.

He can't really outbox people, because he is always just standing infront of you, and now he is at a weight where he cant outpunch you either. Its a losing proposition for him. He is Andre Berto without the size and power.

His weaknesses have already been exposed many times, he got lots of gifts on the way up, and was clearly exposed by Maidana. He is too full of himself to learn from his mistakes or try to adapt, so he is going to lose against any half way decent fighter capable of following a game plan at this point.

Its just reality. Like they said the end of the Maidana fight, Problem Solved.
