Roberto Garcia needs to hang em up, seriously. He a great streak on FNFs last year, but he's failed twice this year...he couldn't make weight for Porter back in March, and now this?!

This was actually a step up for Spence and could've helped Garcia, had he pulled off the upset. Just take the dude's name out of the hat...it's obvious that he isn't serious about his career.

Fighters have done this before and gone on to become great. Pacquiao stepped in 2 days notice to fight Nelson on the de la Hoya -Castelliejo undercard. Also it's not about boxing failing, it's about putting on real fights with real professionals fighters and not guys that are canceling days before the fight because of personal reasons.

Porter hasn't sign a contract yet for the Broner fight because of the weight situation so if Porter doesn't make weight, Broner will withdraw for the fight??? Garcia was dropped because he was 20 lbs overweight. It happens in fighting. Garcia is a real pro fighter, he just is a fat POS who doesn't take his career seriously. You know kind of like Cesar Chavez Junior and plenty of other fighters. Garcia's career is done but that doesn't mean you put another promising fighter under the gun to step-up when he's fighting his own fight the next day. Just the way it goes sometimes in fighting. I've seen pros in regional shows show up 30 pounds overweight after making the weight their most recent fight..

Takes alot of steam out of this card, as far as pbc fighters go i rate spence near the top in alot of aspects, hes also a likeable kid, unlike most of the crap they "advise" was looking forward to this step up. As far as Garcia is concerned the guy has such a harrowing story that i fear for his well being after boxing which seems like its coming along sooner rather than later.

Sammy Vasquez is the co-feature for the Sunday show; I fail to see how it would make any sense to move him out of that opportunity, on three days notice, into fighting against top southpaw prospect who is nothing like the guy he's prepped for.
