Why aren't "hardcore boxing fans" outraged about this?

Mayweather unified the titles in the ring against the #2 P4P fighter in the world. Immediately after the fight one of the organizations strips him of the belt and sanctions Tim Bradley (winless in his last 2 fights) vs. Jessie Vargas (junior welterweight) for the belt.

        This is outrageous.

Apparently, you can voice complaints on the WBO's website. Just click contact

Why does he care if he's going to turn around and drop it?

                Because he earned it.

They should at least give him what he has earned, even if its just a formality.

If this is true then there is no point for Floyd to complain about it.

Why complain when you would have to pay the WBO to keep the belt anyway? Just say "screw them" and leave that title vacant.

I thought Floyd didn't pay sanctioning fees.
