Really, Angulo? Lara got dropped 2x by a guy whos not top 20 at SWW. And Canelo, pathetic performance by Lara, despite screaming for that fight for years

Golovkin still might have better options on the table. Froch, N'Dam/Lemieux, DeGale, Rameriz.

Golovkin certainly doesn't need to fight Lara. It is not some huge fight and Lara is not a proven middleweight, although it is still a credible fight.

The question would be is the next guy Golovkin fights more or less credible than a guy like Lara. Middleweight being an ass division doesn't help and with HBO that does limit his options but there are some things he could do that would be as good or better.

Of course his next opponent wont be as credible as Lara. Hasnt his resume proven that. Willie monroe for example is similair to lara but less skilled.

Do we really need a dozen different threads on Lara and his twitter posts? Everyone knows that Lara's manager is great on twitter. Let them get clearance to fight on HBO from Haymon and then get approved by HBO and THEN they can talk about a fight with Golovkin. I can pretty much bet that they will not get past step one...getting clearance from Haymon. Haymon is not about to permit one of his PBC 'stars' who recently could not even draw half a million viewers on Spike take a fight on HBO and get triple the numbers making PBC look like crap.

So before anyone blames anyone for this fight not happening, Lara and his manager have to get past stage one.

I am fine taking a wait and see approach but yea given the rather small pond he is confined to (partly by choice) Lara would be pretty high up the credibility pecking order.

Lara drew with a mediocre fighter named Martirosyan. Which means Rodriguez either didn't do his homework or simply lacks the skill to apply pressure, or there's not much left in his tank in the first place. So the difference is that Vanes applied pressure and didn't let Lara pose and position himself before throwing punches. And this is Martirosyan.

Lara's manager is the biggest joke in boxing. Dude never translates correctly, always adding his own words as if he's the fighter!

He also talks out of his arse. He knows there is not chance of getting the fight approved by HBO. If he's going to call for fights he knows he won't get he might as well call out Mayweather.
