Why does Daniel Jacobs get a pass?

As pretty much summed up in this thread, Danny doesn't really get a pass so much as people don't even acknowledge him. He hasn't done anything for anyone to even consider him a top fighter.

I actually like watching his fights, his biggest issue is a lack of activity and low competition level. But that's obviously changing for him. Truax was a good fight and now a few months later he's fighting Mora, another good fight for him.

The only downside to Jacobs is that I don't think he'll be making MW much longer. In that VICE documentary he struggled bad cutting the weight for Fletcher, but that was coming off a long layoff too. He's a big MW though.

Exactly. Irks me though when people refer to these minor belt holders as champions. Isn't it bad enough we have 4 major titles in each division? No more, please!
