Hatton's Style Fits Vann's Style = Bias
Trouble begins when a ref's style fits the style of one fighter more than the other. Sure the ref is not be biased, because he'll weigh each fighter's actions by the same standard, but if that standard gives one fighter an advantage, it's called bias. That can happen when Hatton and Vann are in the same ring.
In fact, I'd say Ricky stands to benefit from any Vann-like ref, as opposed to a refs like Cortez or Bayless who often stop fighters from what they call "silliness".
