I guess to be a top fighter you need to beat a top fighter , to earn a shot againt a top fighter you need to beat a top fighter , in my work we call it a deadlock , you can never be a top figther in today`s day and age by that reason.

thats primarily a good point but for a few reasons. floyd is the number 1 fighter in the world. hes not just a regular top fighter. and secondly he happens to fight 2 divisions under golovkin.now should guys like cotto, quillen etc fight golovkin? absolutely.
