usually when a fighter gets his career defining win he goes on all types of tv shows, radio, gets honered by different groups. floyd has been in hiding, only appear at nba games with what many consider his boyfriend.

after seeing how floyd doesnt really get to celebrate his "win" against pac, i happily paid my $100

Again, I like GGG, but no one will fault Cotto for fighting Canelo or Mayweather, instead of GGG. There's just too much money involved. GGG needs Ward, Froch, Chavez Jr., or even B-Hop!
Damn right I will fault Cotto for holding on to the title if he refuses to defend against his mandatory. He can fight Canelo without the MW title, he can fight Floyd without the MW title. In fact, he will have to give it up if he intends to fight either of those fighters. Not that there is any chance at all of a Floyd fight unless Cotto plans to leave Roc Nation first.

It would have been fine for Cotto to fight Geale if he had not drained him with a catchweight. That was a gutless tactic and Cotto is a worm for doing it.

GGG does not need Ward, Ward needs GGG. Froch is retiring, Chavez Jr. cannot fight on HBO and already ran away from Golovkin and was destroyed by Fonfara and is no longer a viable opponent.

I will say it one more time and maybe you will understand it...'

COTTO CAN FIGHT ANYONE HE WISHES TO FIGHT AS LONG AS HE VACATES THE WBC MW TITLE FIRST.

Congratulations! I didn't know you had become the president of the WBC and had the authority to make these kinds of decisions. The truth is that Cotto will fight Alvarez next for the WBC MW title. After he KO's Alvarez, he will fight Mayweather, a rematch with Alvarez or whoever the hell he wants and he will still hold the WBC title at the time of that fight. The WBC is not going to strip Cotto because they can make four times the sanctioning fee for a Cotto/Alvarez or Cotto/Mayweather or Cotto/Willie Munroe Jr. fight than they can for a fight between Golovkin and the tomato can of the month.

You're an idiot. GGG is closer to Canelo and Oscar's size than he is to Ward. Fraud is the 154 lb champ and GGG is the 160 lb champ. A 6Lb difference. Actually GGG always comes in weighing less than 160.

Ward is fighting at 172 this weekend. That means, moron, that there's more than a 12 lb weight difference. That means he's closer to Kovalev than he is to GGG.

FloStans know it, but don't admit it that GGG would annihilate Floyd the same way Kovalev would do Ward.

LOL "Golovkin never beat a top opponent." They won't fight him durrrrrrrrrrr

Who is Floyd going to fight instead? Khan who just got a gift decision after being exposed by Algieri?

Floyd doesn't fight unstoppable forces in their prime...plain and simple...

Wouldn't be shocked if Mayweather tries to make the Canelo rematch...he knows that still sells over a mil...and if they fight at 155...people will use the drained angle...plus Cotto still seems like he's being a Diva...dude didn't accept 60/40 the first time...and he doesn't deserve more than that either...

Unless Golovkin agrees to step aside, which he has not yet done, Cotto will not be fighting Canelo for the MW title. For GGG to step aside it will require a large payment as well as an agreement for him to fight the winner of the fight signed by both Cotto and Canelo, both of whom have refused to sigh such a guarantee. As Golovkin's status at the interim champion and mandatory defense gives him legal standing as the next challenger for the MW title, GGG and his team can force the issue and force the WBC to strip Cotto of the title. If they refuse, they can go to court to get an injunction preventing Cotto from fighting anyone other than Golovkin or to vacate the title.

This is not a situation that either Cotto or the WBC have any control over. ALL control rests in the hands of Gennady Golovkin.

Of course your bringing Mayweather into the discussion indicates that you are nothing but a fanboy who knows absolutely nothing at all about the sport. If you think that Cotto will be fighting Mayweather, you are clearly delusional.

That was a win? "He didn't do nothing" lol....After reading how Floyd was going to dominate and KO Pac..I laughed when Pac looked like he had been out for a job with Pacman the dog..and had one arm...

Floyd proved nothing in that fight besides he can basically turn any fight into a 10 punch a round type of fight...he definitely did nothing to merit a win..and was dominated in two of the 12 rounds..all the other rounds he basically just avoided exchanges...and this was against a Pac who had surgery days following the fight lol
