I've gone to much worse fights, so I'd go in a heartbeat especially if it's free. Then again, as you said, Porter-Broner will be a much more exciting fight but you can just DVR that and watch it when you get home.

where's the acting of ringside seat? man free lower level isn't good enough for you? greedy ass
more than 8000 appeared, and that's supposed to be good for someone making such bold claims? and ward-dawson was actually at least a fight, but this up coming fight, not so much
Ward sold tickets to nearly 8,000 for his last fight at Oracle Arena (can't be bothered to find the exact number, but I believe he sold 7,800 tickets), the actual crowd that was in the building to watch the fight was around 10,000, and Ward did nearly three quarters of a million dollars at the gate (glad to see that you acknowledged that point).
This actual upcoming fight isn't all that important; Andre "SOG" Ward, Oakland's finest and the Bay Area's champion, is stepping back into the ring, and the Bay Area is simply looking forward to seeing their star fight again; outside of the man's family and friends, no one in Oakland bought a ticket to see Dawson for their fight.
With tickets prices $250-$30 for the event, why is $1m ridiculous (especially after Andre Ward already did over $700k for his last fight in his hometown)?

As you can see, for LOWER LEVEL seats, they were free. FREE.
How does this guy think he's a PPV star etc when tickets to his fight (at HIS home town) can't even sell and people are handing them out for free just to fill up the seats to give it the illusion that there are people actually there.
Mercito Gesta in Vegas, for nose bleeds, were even on sale for $50, while Ward, has free LOWER LEVEL tickets for free. I've heard of free upper level but LOWER LEVEL!!! lmao.
I'll probably just go and then stream the Porter fight on my phone.

should probably take a look at the seats that you're trumpeting too; over 20 rows up, in arguably the lower bowl section with the worst angle on actually seeing the fight.
