    Remember to thank Al Haymon!

Was reminded again of how important the Haymon clan find it to have him thanked at the end of each fight.

Sam Watson, right before the Wilder post fight interview, seemingly said to Wilder that he should remember to thank Al Haymon, and Wilder replied, "You already know, baby."

For someone who seems to shy away from the limelight, it seems that Haymon is dying to have his name out there as much as possible. He has a very large stable and a firm grip on boxing it seems, so I wonder why this is such an important thing. Is it to draw more boxers to him or to bring him more attention for other reasons?

I mean obviously the publicity is great for business, but seems a bit out of character from what we know of him and also it seems to be a HUGE deal (even more so than other promoters/managers) as we saw when Fonfara forgot to thank Al Haymon after defeating Chavez Jr. and Watson desperately tried to remind him to do so (pure comedy!).

Also...I wonder if there is any punishment if a fighter forgets to thank Al Haymon! Any thoughts on this subject?

You just know that behind the scenes Al Haymon has said to Wilder; "hey big boy, i'll match you up against a load of bums and get you a shot at the WBC world heavyweight title" !

Deontay....."oh thank you my Haymon! You're so kind and pretty"

Then Al drops his pants and declares...."yeah beeeatch, now put on this mini skirt and start squealing, big moma Al gonna bust dat aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrssssee"

    "squeal you big ****"

This actually made me laugh out loud. Probably because of the rumors about Haymon's sexual exploits. He's definitely an enigma, to say the least.

Yep, you just know the way he runs his fighters how tight a PR ship this guy runs.

If you watch some earlier Mayweather fights, you can see Haymon in the audience, and he actually looks quite geeky, talking a lot, getting too anxious. Even more dramatic than Kathy Duva. My own hypothesis is that he is so self-conscious about his public image and how he comes across, that this is the reason he doesn't show up ringside or at public events.

Last Fonfara fight, he forgot to thank Haymon, now he's bagging groceries, the most crucial part of the fight.

                  Haymon > Jesus > Mom > Kids > Trainer
