CSAC does indeed do a good job. They reported Ward/Rodriguez pulling in an amazing $277,374 for the gate from the 4,158 people who came. Outstanding draw!

Ward-Rodriguez with in the LA area (where Ward has far less name ID than he does in the Bay Area), against an opponent that added nothing to the fight (the fight not having any real local marketing, let alone any media push to help).

But again, you probably knew that and were just hoping that no one would call you on your ****.

difference is one fighter is moving up and the other fighter still hasnt fought a world beater and wont move up in weight in order to do so..

they last time i saw ppl pick single words out of an article...nevermingi wont bore u just know that pacquiao lost...GET WAT IM SAYING NOW? ward is going up in weight 2 years off..and no one gives props...he says he wants to fight kovalev and no one gives props?? wat if he lost it and u see it with paul smith...do u still want that fight or do u want the 2 best at their best..wat if it takes 2 fights for him to look impressive?? regardless how u call GGG didnt want the man even after a lay off...PERIOD

I honestly don't understand you guys!
Am I the only one who wants Ward to fight both? I'd love for GGG to fight Froch and then Ward. I'd love for Ward to fight Kovalev and Adonis but after the GGG fight. Otherwise they'd never fight! It shouldn't matter who you like more or who you'd pick to win. All the boxing fans in the world should want top guys to face the best in and around their divisions, if possible!
There's no excuse for GGG not to face Ward & Froch/#3@168 or For Ward not to face Kovalev & Adonis!

we dont carry out protection plans..we dont say "this is wat is going to happen if so and so fights so and so, so i dont want to see" we just freaking let it happen..we're men expecting gladiators to be gladiators..we're something cut from a different cloth, no favotires, just analysis of what occurs in the ring, and even if we do have a favor we can shield that for the greater good of boxing's legacy.

LOL at Ward for acting as if 175 is so much different than 168! Its only 7 pounds and Ward is already a verry big SMW so it is no big deal for him to become a "full fledged" at 175....seriously! But i understand that he wont move back down again that would not be good for him.

It would be nice to see both, but Ward-Kovalev seems like a better fight than Ward-GGG.

Ward seems stylistically well set to face GGG, and he's bigger than him. It may well happen that he can't smother Golovkin but there's a good chance that turns into a slightly ugly and disappointing fight.

Because of how Kovalev fights, much more on his toes, punching in motion, and moving in-and-out it seems like it would be a far better boxing match that is more likely to get the best out of either man.

For me, Golovkin would have to impress at 168 before the fight with Ward could be a true superfight. Ward's record at SMW, inactivity notwithstanding, means that Kovalev-Ward is pretty much good to go.

When Moving up in weight there r many other considerations to ponder other than ; can I make the weight , like ; will my power carry or how well can I withstand a punch at that weight or will my endurance be affected carrying an extra 7 pounds ? Needless to say , ur oversimplifying !

Well, he has the size to compete at 175 and hes no big puncher anyway so i doubt it makes much difference for him. He wont have that size-advantage over his opponents thats right but it is about time for him to move up because he proved already hes the best at 168 after winning the super6. Who is left at 168 that would make for a interesting fight? At 175 there are new challenges and some verry good strong Opposition he could fight. Unfortunately 168 gonna be completely done without Ward, Froch and Kessler. The Division is becomming verry weak now. So there is no Business for Ward at 168 anymore.
GGG better stays at 160 beause the Division is about to get stronger and hes not really a big middleweight so i think he should stay at 160 his whole career. In the ring he weighs just about 170-173 Pounds. Adding more weight would not be good for him but ward on the other Hand has room to put some weight on so he should move up.

Sergey Kovalev walks into the ring at near 190 pounds, likely cutting from 200+ when not in camp.

Andre Ward was at 173 two weeks ago, and has walked into a ring for a fight as high as 176 (which I believe was the weight for the Dawson fight).

There's a massive difference between a fighter who is a hard run away from making 175 and a fighter who needs a full 10-week camp to work their body down to 175.
