  • Comments Thread For: GGG Rep on De La Hoya: Stranger Things Have Happened

Don't rule out a fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin -- because after De La Hoya called out Triple G last week ... the IBO/WBA middleweight champion's rep tells TMZ Sports - "stranger things have happened."

GGG's rep says the boxer is well aware of the TMZ Sports video in which 42-year-old Oscar says he thinks about making a comeback every day -- and has his sights set on Golovkin.

But Gennady didn't take the call out as an insult ... his rep says, "It was a show of respect."

I'd watch and pay because I'm a Oscar Hater and would love to see Oscar get beat down

But if this fight gets made its absolutely pathetic on so many levels and think it bomb as a PPV

Very dangerous fight for ggg, oscar has the ability to knock him out. Ggg might go in there over confident and get hit hard by a rejuvenated oscar. Ggg might get embarrased

Why not? After all, Mitt Romney stepped into the ring with Evander Holyfield.

                No. No. Nononononononononononono. No.

I will disown Golovkin forever if he fights Oscar De La Hoya.

This would be a great fight but am worried about Oscar getting really hurt. He would want to prepare well or else the fight could be over very fast.

is the american public even still interested in de la hoya? but you'd be mad to turn that fight down, sideshow that it is; it's basically printing money
