Very good fighter with class. I see a lot of hate posts but the guy was in obscurity the first 10 years of his career and really made it to the big stage. I'm glad to see him retire.

Quality boxer and a total class act inside and outside the ring, a credit to the sport. Deserves far more than the ****ty comments left here. Would it hurt you guys to just save your petty rubbish for the playground once in a while?
No wonder boxers often feel they owe the fans f8ck all, this is the thanks they get.

At 37 does a man become faster and stronger than he ever has been? Nope. Martinez is became a PED user, like so many late 30s fighters of this generation.
He proceeded to maim P. Willy and celebrated and didn't even check up on this man he tried to murder.
Martinez is a fraud and a coward. A man who quit on his stool in his final fight. Pathetic. He could've at least tried to finish the fight.

Really enjoyed watching him fight. I was a big Pavlik fan and I became a fan of his after he outclassed Kelly. His knockout over Williams is my favorite knockout of all time. Great career, not long enough at the top for Hall consideration, but he gave the boxing world some great fights in a short period of time.

One of my favourites. That period from Bunema to Chavez Jr was wonderful. It was always a pity he broke out at such a late stage in his career.

I guess they're bitter, having to stare down the truth of what that win actually was.
