Good fighter, pretty damn good career especially considering a) it took him a while to get the big fights b) he started late and c) it got cut short due to injury.

    Well done Sergio.

        No.

He was a journeyman killer. Landed a haymaker on Williams...

I consider myself a fan and he had a great run but in my opinion he was highly overrated.

Glad Sergio made the right choice and all respect to him, he has been a testament to how boxers should act outside the ring and honor the sport inside of it. Enjoy retirement champ and YOU DO YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Chavez exposed him as the fraud he is.

Yeah, that was just a fluke KO over Williams. Same the domination of a prime Pavlik, Dzinziruk, JCC Jr. Geez... what is it with you no-accomplishment bums? What, you're jealous the man reached the top, while you're still on the bottom mopping up the warehouse? Idiot.

He exposed Chavez you mean. Dominated a guy 20+ lbs. bigger than him. Even fought back after the knockdown. Thanx for the contribution, Idiot #2 of the night. I'm sure there will be more.

Sergio may not have been the best, but he had a great technique, stamina, speed, power. And he won some amazing fights, and showed class before during and afterwards. More than can be said of bums like Bonehead. I'd much rather watch a skilled boxer/puncher like Martinez than guys like Floydie with the 'safe decision' wins.
