Considering Verdejo hurt his hand makes it even more impressive. Even though some people get bent out of shape when you call a fighter a future great - think about it, some of these prospects have to become greats at some point because very era has great fighters. It is the law of averages that right now there are prospects, both known and unknown who are going emerge and define the face of boxing in the next few years. I think Verdejo has that potential.

This was a good co feat fight on HBO, Felix didn't disappoint on his first fight on the network. TR is doing a tremendous job on making him a star in the future, credit to Narjera for sticking in there and making it a tough fight and giving it his all.

I like the speed and size.
Everyone already jumping the gun calling him the next PR star. They need to chill. That kinda stuff could get to someone's head and make them think they're better than they actually are and therefore making them never willing to listen/learn.
Maybe Calderon was right. Maybe the other kid is better. Just doesn't have the right promotion team.
EDIT: I meant Calderon not Tito.Last edited by .:: JSFD26 ::.; 06-14-2015, 05:36 PM.

Could it have been the najera was a hard puncher and verdejo was reluctant to go down or was it is hurt hand. either wayhe needs to go down low more. So what if you get knocked down. It pays dividends down the stretch ala Trinidad.

stop hating he s young and still learnig. This was pretty good fight with a legit oponent. No like canela who fought 40 tomato cans before steping in the ring against a good fighter.
If you follow the thread , Canelo's opposition was directly compared to Verdejo's by one of these delusional cheerleaders.
Once I stated facts to contrast his fantasy, its not about the quality of opponents anymore......its about how he didnt win the fight and so on.
"Fans" like these lose credit with their own bias and agenda to promote their ignorance.
