Second only to Ali as the most entertaining fighter?
That's quite a claim! There have been more exciting fighters than Naz in recent years: Gatti, Ward, Tito, Pacquiao to name just a few, and if you're counting 'modern' as anything after 1980, there are plenty of fighters in the '80s who consistently gave legendary fights, Ray Mancini, Duran, Bobby Chacon, Pryor etc etc.
Entertaining is a subjective term, a lot of people found Naz boorish, disrespectful, an idiot, intolerably arrogant and his swashbuckling style - that seemed completely devoid of technique at times - wasn't for everyone either. A LOT of people were delighted when he got his as s handed to him.
He had his moments, and could certainly punch, but his career had quite a lot of padding and when it came time to truly prove his greatness against a fellow great, he couldn't deliver. Simple as that.
