Give Wilder some credit for dominating Stiverne. Even Wilder wasn't 100% in that fight. The vision in his right eye wasn't ok and he kept fighting even though he broke his right hand in round 3.
Plus I can't see any way possible you can really deny how sick he was, it's straight forward fact!!!
I would have given Wilder his props on that win for sure!!
But all I can say about him now is this..
- Wilder proved he can suvive 12 rounds against a hospital patient who had lost his strength, was not fighting back and was not defending himself without gassing out.
- Wilder proved he can take a few shots from a hospital patient who is normally a big puncher but had no strength, most of which were not flush anyhow.
- Wilder proved that he did not have enough power to knock out a strong chinned opponent who was really sick and took flush shots repeatedly for 12 rounds (who had been previously KOed by a guy who is not on a championship radar when it comes to punching power)
^^^ I light of the above I can only conclude 2 things...
- Wilder doesn't have what it takes at top level boxing.. AND
- The Arreola that Stiverne beat would have completely beat the crap out of him!
