the first boxer who did it in ancient rome probably got a few laughs and claps but 2000 years later its pretty stale

    like 9/10 boxers do this

It's not just boxers, footballers also do it. That's all Zlatan Ibrahimovic ever says and I'm pretty sure no one fails to recognise him. There's a difference between arrogance and self belief and people allow their pre emtive dislike for a fighter make them further dislike that person as it gives them more ammunition against them.

It is annoying and stupid and you have to be incredibly conceited to do it. Mayweather is great and Cotto is very good. Khan and Broner aren't anything special. A boxer can talk anyway they want to but the third person talk makes them come off as an arrogant jerk.

Roy Jones used to do it while commentating on fights, which could be really confusing at times.

Beater_of_ass has no issues with anyone referring to themselves in the third person.

Beater_of_ass doesn't understand how someone is bothered by such a stupid thing.

            Beater_of_ass disapproves of this thread.

Like I said before, Floyd Mayweather can't overlook (insert name), he's a young hungry lion.
