I guess the real argument is while yes he won the eliminator what was he doin there in the first place? How did he go from beating tomato cans to being ranked up so high? Thats the problem I have. But you're right, its ****** to cry over as much as its ****** to cry over Toney getting a rematch.

Well I had Toney winning the Rock fight and I think he clearly outclassed Ruiz so I think its a worthwhile move to get him another title shot. Rahman never beat anybody for the damn belt anyways. If Wlad beats Byrd and Brewster wins tonight, I will consider the WBC champ to be the #3 man in the division anyways

I want to see the Rock face Toney again because it was a good fight that wasn't resolved.

The crying about Toney's weight over shadowed the fact there were 1500+ punches thown. That's insane for a Heavyweight fight.

see, I just can't keep on backing Toney when he comes in such piss poor shape. it's so easy to keep saying "if Toney was in shape" or "if Toney was motivated for that fight..." his whole career. eventually, you have to say **** it. Toney is not the guy to save the division. besides, Rahman fought a great fight and deserves to move on to opponents of his choosing. in reality, Rahman is facing THREE mandatories in a ROW. that's ****ing bull**** anyway you slice it. Toney was lucky to come away with a draw because aside from those 2 judges, I don't think anybody else had anything but a Rahman win.

Rahman was in the shape of his life in the Toney fight, toney was not...

Rahman has beaten Lewis (by KO!!), when lewis came into the ring out of shape. Lewis came back to win.

              A huge toney fan?...I wonder....
sorry, i beg to differ...........he wasn't as good as the champ, as it was a majority draw..........I'm surprised that nobody mentions this....if people want to get technical, easy, look at the scorecards...which show that two were drawn (corrupt) and the one legitimate was a UD!

I just saw Rock missing a ton and Toney ripping him with counter rights and missing most of the big shots thrown by Hasim. While Rahman gets credit for aggressiveness, Toney was the better man at cleaner, effective punching and defense. Basically, this fight was like most TOney fights for scorers-you have to decide if you prefer activity or efficiency. I chose efficiency and had Toney by 4 rounds

What about Rahman controlling virtually every round from 7-8 on with his jab? Every single time that Rahman doubled the jab, he nailed Toney with it. I couldn't believe my eyes as I saw Toney being manhandled, something I've never seen before. Roy Jones beat him by dancing around and tagging him with looping shots, but Rahman bullied him and pounded on him. Rahman definitely won that fight. Like I said, Toney was lucky to get a draw.

So did Jirov...he pushed him around, onto the ropes, and pounded on him as much as he could.

Toney did the same thing in this fight as he did in that one. Landed cleaner, harder shots all night and countered the **** out of his opponent. Only difference being he didn't have the power or conditioning to close the show in the 12th.

If you score 10 jabs and a power shot over 5/6/7 clean power punches theres something wrong with you. (don't take this literally, just a general statement).

Another omission being the jabs and work to the body Toney was doing. Most of the "body work" Rahman was doing came in the form of punching Toneys back while clinching. Toney shot his jab through Rahmans guard well and landed a lot of good clean bodyshots.
