Both Paulie and Roy Jones have pegged Khan to give Mayweather problems but as I've said, it's the Roach version that was a dangerous offensive fighter. Khan can still cause problems imo but I agree with the statement made in the article, Khan did look afraid to get hit, even though Algieri never had the power to hurt him.

A lot of it is to do with Hunter, constantly telling him to think and be defensive, which isn't how Khan is wired. It works against passive fighters like Alexander and if Khan can land big, he can hurt guys but Algieri had huge size advantages and flipped the script.

Anyway, everyone is reading too much into one performance. Khan looked exceptional against Alexander and Collazo, a long way removed from the KD filled win against Diaz.

Ok but Algieri even with little power did hurt Khan, dipped his knees once and stopped him in his tracks a few times.Algieri was picked because he had never fought at the full 147 and the Khan's were sure they had the advantage but when Chris came in and had filled out at the weight they were shocked....to say that Chris was hand picked only makes a statement that Khan is nowhere near as good as he thinks , the people in the know, know this and if Hymon and the Khan's ever step him up at top level you will find he is not going to be the future P4P king but he is again going to be brutally exposed.

a lot of algeiris shots were arm punches he got the full swing but there wasnt much behind them, khan looked frozen to me just because he was expecting an easy night and he couldnt see the shots coming more than been hurt. Algeiri was cut and fairly swollen khan landed some hard shots but just not that often, he backed up to and algeiri never gave an inch fought a very determined fight.
