Other than a couple straight lefts and the liver shot, Collazo didn't really land anything notable. It sucks that Thurman was robbed of another KO just like in the Diaz fight.

People are really going over the top lol, like kiaba said, other than land a very good body shot, Collazo did nothing. Thurman destroyed him the round before he quit, it was only a matter of time before it got nasty.

As for the Khan thing, yes Khan beat him more comfortably but bear in mind the game plan they used, Khan clinched excessively, Thurman used his feat.

I want Thurman vs Porter next or Thurman vs Danny.

That constant grabbing & holding garbage that Khan employed against Collazo was shameful. The fact that he was able to get away with it until the 11th round took the wind out of Collazo's sails.

As for Thurman's performance, nearly any fighter goes down from a liver shot like that, and don't get up to beat the count. Credit Thurman for not going down from that shot, and managing to not catch major leather while he was hurt. He also came back in the next round & was mounting an assault in the 7th. Liver shots aren't easy to recover from so quickly.

What you also forget is Khan was landing combination's clean on Collazo, dropped him 3 times. You can downplay Khans performance as much as you want, but he soundly beat the life out of Collazo. Thurman ran at points, even turned his ****in back on Collazo lol.

It wasnt his best night, thats for sure.

I read a few comments on here *****ing and moaning aboit the Thurman fight so was expecting a ****fest of a fight. Just watched it now on youtube and i thought it was perfectly good. Collazo did better than expected and gave us some drama with that huge body shot, Thurman looked ok bjt not his best.

It was a fun fight between WW contender and a faded former champ. Ending was **** but hey, stuff like that happens in boxing. Just last night Flanagan Zapeda fight ended on a dislocated shoulder un the second round
