Klitschko surprised by ease Joshua beat Johnson

Wladimir Klitschko believes Anthony Joshua will become the new "dominant force in the heavyweight division".

The Ukrainian, now 39, currently holds three of the four major belts but has no doubt that the British Olympic gold medallist will win a world title sooner rather than later.

In an exclusive interview with Ringside, which you can see on Thursday night from 6pm on Sky Sports 1, Klitschko has no doubt that Joshua is 'that' good and will rule the sport's blue riband division.

"I can talk about Anthony Joshua a lot," he said.

"I can say a lot of good things about him and I like the way this guy is developing so well.

"I would say - probably on a short line - I am so confident he will become the dominant force in the heavyweight division.

"I am so confident he will become the dominant force in the heavyweight division"
    Wladimir Klitschko

"I would put any money on Anthony Joshua winning any other fight that comes up. That means a lot!"

Joshua spent time in Klitschko's training camp last year and has since moved to 13-0 with 13 knockouts inside three rounds.

The last one of those stoppages was an explosive two-round demolition of the experienced Kevin Johnson, who took Vitali Klitschko the distance back in 2009.

And Wladimir again, pulled no punches when it came to praising Joshua.

"I was expecting Anthony to win this fight but I never thought he was going to win that comprehensively!"

I do hope its Price next, **** it I hope its Chisora! He needs to step up again and I think he could get both Price and Chisora out of there within 3 rounds! That's the statement he needs to make! Johnson was a punching bag and I understand he's never been stopped but he's a lot older than when Klitschko beat him etc.

Step him up Hearn before knocking over heavy-bag's hinders him!

I think Joshua is a great talent but come on Wlad was "surprised" how easily he beat KJ? KJ is ranked 65th in the world. Wlad is praising Joshua to the hills because he knows he will never have to face him.

Joshua needs to step it up. The guy's opponents have been abysmal for a guy with his pedigree. At least fight someone in the top 50

all heavyweights are on roids, no one cares and everyone turns a blind eye to it. You think Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis and Klitschko are natural?

He praises all the HW prospects.

Tomorrow he'll be saying Parker will be the dominant force.

His opponents have been most definitely above average for a guy with his number of fights, let alone abysmal. He doesn't NEED to step anything up. He's coming along very well unless you're looking for any excuse to crap on the guy. And you really need to grasp at straws to crap on this guy.
