Roy should get to 70 wins by the years end at this rate! Go Roy! People always talk about Roy's health. Let me tell you this, NOBODY touched Roy in the first 49 fights of his career, he has suffered, what 5 bad knockouts right?! Spare a thought for the journeyman who ends his career with a 16-49 win loss record and fights to feed his family. Please.

What a legend. The fight may have left his body but it will never leave his spirit. RESPECT.

I've been against him fighting since Lebedev. I held Roy so high at one point and this somewhat tarnishes a solid career.

As long as he's kept away from world class guys I don't see the problem, if he needs the money or he actually still enjoys it his reasons are his own.

Nobody wants to see him against Huck though

Roid never picked up a 154 belt? Funny that the belt he cant win was the most talentless weight class in Roid's heyday. Most fighters skipped Loserweight it because the belt their mean jack shart.

I still remember the day in Sun Valley Mall, Concord not 10 minutes from my house when I met this guy who had a Sugar Ray Leonard shirt on and I said "that is my all time favorite fighter", pointing to his shirt. And the guy next to him said "This is the next Sugar Ray Leonard", pointing at the athlete next to him wearing the tank top with SRL on it. I almost laughed cause I didn't know who Jones was, and though maybe he was a local boxer from some club nearby, but I said something like "That is cool!".

And then I turned on the TV the next day and saw Jones, the guy in the tank top, was being announced for a fight in the box offs in Concord and I could not believe how just a day earlier I had seen the guy in the mall who was now on my TV set. I didn't know about the box offs. And I was even more shocked at how perfect he was as a boxer and how he reminded me a little of SRL. When Jones was robbed of a gold medal, all I could think about was how someone needed to investigate the Korean officials because they weren't blind, they were downright biased toward their fighters. I was depressed for days about him being robbed.

Watching Jones fight was like discovering something amazing for the first time and not being able to get enough of it. And then I met Jones 10 years later and got his autograph. #4 on my list of all-time favorite fighters, but #1 of the last 25 years.
