  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Believes Whyte Clash Can Happen

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua has opened the door to a fight with former amateur rival Dillian Whyte.

Whyte defeated Joshua as an amateur in 2009, knocking the Olympic champion to the floor in the process, and Joshua has told Sky Sports News HQ that the two could be about to renew their rivalry six years on.

“It’s an offer we’re really looking into,” Joshua said. “If he [Whyte] is patient, I’m sure he’ll get his opportunity.”

Joshua should fight Chisora end of year or early 2016.

Dillian Whyte is the sort of opponent that could beat Wilder.

      Wilder would never fight him!

One of these guys Whyte has since taken a tough road.

Whilst the other, Wilder, has literally feasted on bums like no other in the modern era!

      ****in BUM Squad!

        No WAY!

We don't want to throw him in the deep end like that all at once!

Dude needs atleast another 20 tune up fights before he can face Chisora!

I'd rather seem them fight guys on the periphery of the top 10 like Thompson, Chagaev, Takam and if they survive that we have a real rivalry on our hands.

Right now we don't know if either one is that good. What would it prove?

Hard to believe they're both the same age as Tyson Fury. I've mocked him a lot but despite being an oaf his resume is very impressive for his age.

            **** I just made a mistake.

I thought we were talking about Bum Squad here, not Anthony Joshua.

Decent opponent for Joshua, and he's ready for Chisora now.

Joshua could already waste Wilder for the WBC imo!

A.J. talks as a champion should (if you ask me). More power to him.
