Admittedly, I didnt know anything about Monroe before the GGG fight, but what i've heard from him since he seems like a common sense kind of guy, will probably be a commentator one day. Hopefully he'll get some more chances at MW - thought he did ok against Golovkin and was slightly surprised he didn't continue when it was stopped.

Given the trends of Glolovkin's recent opponents. He'll get a big fight or title shot soon

        I agree !

Do it, just because you can..... is pretty fkn lame really.

Well the Martinez fight was at a 159 CW, the Geale defense at a 157 CW, he's offering Canelo a shot at a 155 CW. Maybe Cotto will give Monroe a shot after that at a 153 CW. I'm guessing that won't be too easy for Willie to make.

Fighters trying to play the "boxing is a business" to defend catchweights is pretty spineless IMO

Pro Boxing is also a sport and there's a competitive aspect too. What I really dislike is that the fighters camps using the catchweights are so vocal about it's use to drain the opponent I just look down upon it

to me the use of a catchweight is the exact opposite of giving credit to an opponent for being a tough fight.

It's basically admitting, "We're not confident enough to fight you at 160, 154, 147 so we need the 1-3 pound advantage"

His only shot left is Cotto now, and by publicly commending/supporting him he hopes Cotto will eventually choose him as an opponent for that $$$$.
Well yeah that much is obvious. You see how Monroe was saying oh Golovkin he's good at being dirty, punching my hips,,punching the back of my head, etc.

Dude was blaming his loss on have a bad leg from getting hit in the hip lol not the punches crushing his face.

Loeffler didn't seem to think that the CW had an effect on the outcome. I can't wait to see how he reacts if Cotto demands a CW against GGG. I don't want to hear **** from him.

Can't put conditions on a mandatory defense. Another reason why Cotto will vacate before fighting GGG.
