I am of the belief that HBO simply wont buy Lara, and Loeffler is to entrenched in his "Switzerland" persona to publicly admit it.

And for those who dont know, most of us GGG die-hards are fine with a Lara fight. Its just not our first choice. But if he cant get Saunders, Jacobs, Canelo, or Eubank, then fine, go ahead and smash Lara's face in......

this thread is a year old. You guys have known for a long time GGG wasn't getting Canelo. BJS told you to take $3 mil and shove it. Jacobs had the "cold war" thing and Eubank wasn't a consideration a year ago.

AT what point can we just admit GGG isn't likely to get the fights he wants and then discuss potential fights that are more realistic?

He can't control who ducks him but he can control whom he fights when ducked.

Watching GGG fans try and stay up to see Santa eat the milk and cookies left by the tree is getting boring.

BJS did not desreve that high an offer. Lara doesn't deserve that high a purse. That said, I don't think its odd that he and his teams starting point was the same figure BJS was offered.

I don't blame GGG for being avoided, just for his choices afterwards. They are mutually exclusive. Canelo refuses GGG, blame Canelo. GGG doesn't offer Lara and fights another bum once Canelo turns him down, that is on him. How you or any rational human being doesn't understand that is beyond me.

The problem is GGG is in the same boat Floyd was in-he keeps getting turned down for a fight. The difference is Floyd was blamed when Manny turned the fight down. Now you and others have shifted and are no longer blaming the offer or whatever other BS you clowns created. Now its simply blame the guys that turned down GGG, which frankly is what you should have done when Manny refused to fight. Why the change? I have some ideas but that is for another debate.

His being on the p4p list has no bearing on this discussion. I never used the word cherrypicked. Once again you make things up and then discuss them as a way to deflect from the point made.

edit: if he has been ducked, it isn't by Lara or Ward, 2 guys he doesn't seem keen on fighting. while no one can credibly refute the point he has been avoided and ducked, lets stop pretending he desperately seeking opposition as you and the rest of his ****bag fans pretend.
First off nobody knows what Saunders was offered, he said like 1.5m. But Saunders brings a belt dude, making Ggg into a full unified champ. If Lara beat Saunders for his belt, 1.5m is reasonable. 3m is not under any circumstance

I posted a link from ESPN that quoted the offer as $2.2 mil pounds, which is $3 mil US.

I agree that $3 mil is preposterous for both guys given that GGG tickets are usually low, with the bulk in the $10-30 range.

his team are in the clear as long as they a)have the they ducking excuse b) as long as his fans and hbo dont demand better opponents, they'll milk it

remember when people trashed who roy jones fought....even the commentators did...the "mismandatories"

its funny they say he fought nobody but by nearly the same amount of pro fights and 10 years as a pro...Jones had already won titles in 3 weight classes and defeated 10 world champions.

Hbo said he only fought no names doe

the difference is preference. Jones made it look too easy whether it was a ko or UD 12...GGG is exciting and gets hit more often among other things.

They all know he is going to get avoided (yet again) by the names but act like its going to suddenly be different.

I hope GGG/Canelo is next but all signs are suggesting it wont be.

GGG wants no part of Lara they have said that several times.

Expect GGG vs the next bum of the month.

ESPN said rumored. Then Bj dispelled those rumors. Pretty sure no Ggg tickets sell for $10 but it's beside the point since the fight would likely be in the UK

                    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...home-advantage

WBA-IBF champion Golovkin's team last week made Saunders an offer believed to be £2.2million to face the Kazakh knockout machine in a world title unification clash.

It didn't say rumored. I didn't see where BJS refuted this.

Could you post the link where he did.

Could well be - although (and I know not many will agree here) I'd be pretty much as happy with NDNJ as with Lara. Heiland ain't terrible either but brings neither name recognition nor a style to offer GGG any kind of trouble.
